Wow, after writing that title, I'm not sure how to spell "news" anymore. It looks so bizarre...
Anyways, I was going to write this morning about the exciting news I promised yesterday; but I decided to wait till now, since the exciting news has been doubled! Or maybe it's been tripled? Either way, it's a lot of good news!
Josh passed his oral and practical instrument tests today!! Now that he's passed, he's officially considered a senior at the school here. Next up, commercial rating, starting - tomorrow!
We got a receipt from the Department of Immigration - they received our paperwork, took our money, and granted Josh an "Alien Number." We're officially on the way to getting his green card!
Okay, this is the promised news - which isn't nearly half so exciting as it was yesterday, now that his test is passed, and immigration paperwork is moving along.
We finally found an apartment in Florida!! It's upstairs (which means no patio, but we get a balcony - I think) at a reasonably-priced apartment complex. There's no washer/dryer, but they have a laundry facility conveniently close to the pool (hello, youth group hangouts!), and there's always mom's... :)
Needless to say, we're getting excited, and it's only a few more weeks before we need to start packing. We'll probably need to find some furniture once we get there. A lovely family up here has blessed us with a dining room table, my parents are giving us a couch or two; and all that in addition to our own bed, book shelf, folding table, and folding beach chairs. (They count as furniture... right?)
We are so immeasurably blessed!!
