Without Ceasing

Can you believe that we're already a month into the new year? Time just seems to be flying by lately, which is probably how I went almost 3 weeks without writing anything at all. It feels like there have been many seasons in my life just since the new year began.

Here are some things I've learned:
◊ If you obsess over if you might be anxious, you will make yourself anxious.
◊ Being anxious does not mean that you don't trust God enough, or that you're a failure. It's a natural response to major changes in your life. God is bigger than anxiety, and you have to remind yourself of that every. single. day. and you'll still fight it.
◊ Pray without ceasing. I don't mean sitting at your desk 24/7, hands folded, praying {although that certainly has its merits!}, but the prayer that's whispered in your heart every waking moment. "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." -1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Write it out if you need to!

On the paperwork front, things are moving a bit slower than we would like; Josh just hates waiting on other people for paperwork. We have a big praise, though - our church just had their missions meeting, and have agreed to join us as our commissioning/supporting church! The next step for us is a meeting at NTM headquarters. It looks like we'll be going to Orientation the end of June, and heading to Arizona the middle of July.

I hope you had a great four-day weekend! I spent most of my time tucked in a corner with a cup of tea, reading a Scottish novel series for the umpteenth time, just because I could.
